Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Team Tieu (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares your personal data when you use this website, or enquire about and take part in the 6-Week Transformation. We are committed to handling your data fairly, lawfully and transparently, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Team Tieu operates this website and the 6-Week Transformation programme from Gymbox Farringdon, 12a Leather Ln, London EC1N 7SS. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide, and you can contact us about it at support@teamtieu.co.uk.

2. The information we collect

Depending on how you use our service, we may collect:

  • Contact and identity details — your name, email address and anything you include in your message, when you enquire or book.

  • Booking and payment details — the option you choose and your payment, processed securely by Stripe (we do not see or store your full card details).

  • Health information — before training you complete a health questionnaire and waiver (PAR-Q), which may include injuries, medical conditions or pregnancy. This is special category data (see section 4).

  • Emergency contact — we may ask for a next-of-kin or emergency contact to use during training.

  • Usage data — device and browser type and which pages are viewed, via Framer’s cookieless analytics. This is aggregated and does not identify you.

  • Photos and videos — we may take photographs or video at training sessions, in which you may appear, for our marketing. You can ask not to be included (see our Terms).

  • Anything else you tell us — questions, feedback or correspondence you send us.

3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and manage your booking, the programme and payments — performance of our contract with you.

  • To respond to your enquiries and keep you updated about your booking — performance of a contract and our legitimate interests.

  • To keep you safe while training (health declaration, coaching, emergency response) — your explicit consent for health data, our legitimate interest in safety, and your vital interests in a medical emergency.

  • To improve the website and understand overall usage — our legitimate interests, using cookieless analytics.

  • To send marketing about future cohorts and offers, if and when we do — your consent or our legitimate interest in telling people who booked or enquired about similar things; you can opt out at any time.

  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

4. Health and special category data

Health information you give us — for example on the PAR-Q and waiver — is “special category” data and receives extra protection. We process it on the basis of your explicit consent so we can train you safely, and, in a medical emergency, to protect your vital interests. You do not have to share it, but we cannot let you train without a completed health declaration.

5. Marketing

We are not running marketing campaigns at the moment. In future we may contact you about upcoming cohorts and offers if you have booked or enquired with us. If we do, you will be able to opt out at any time using an unsubscribe link or by emailing us. We will not share your details with anyone else for their own marketing without your explicit consent.

6. Who we share it with

We only share your data with organisations that help us run the service, and we keep this to a minimum:

  • Stripe, which securely processes your payment.

  • Framer, which hosts this website and provides cookieless analytics.

  • Email and IT providers that help us operate, for example to send booking and admin emails.

With your explicit consent, we may also share your contact details with selected partners — including Phil Tieu’s related ventures (such as Muay Thai Grand Prix) and our gym partners — so they can tell you about relevant offers. You can withdraw this consent at any time. We may also disclose data where we are required to by law. All our providers act under contract and may only use your data on our instructions.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses — so your data stays protected.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation (for example, booking and payment records for tax) or to deal with legal claims. For marketing, we keep your data until you ask us to stop, plus a short period to action your request. When we no longer need your data, we delete it or anonymise it.

9. Keeping your data secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including restricted access and secure storage — to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

10. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: be informed about how we use your data; access the data we hold; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to our processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. To exercise any of these rights, email support@teamtieu.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

12. Children

Our services are for adults. You must be 18 or over to book or take part, and this website is not aimed at children.

13. Cookies

We use only essential cookies to run the site and remember your cookie choice, and our analytics are cookieless. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.

15. Contact
